  • How often should I have therapy?

    The number of sessions needed would be assessed on the individual needs of each client. Sessions will begin on a weekly or biweekly basis and assessed with progress made in treatment.

  • How long is therapy supposed to last?

    Therapy is an individual process that can last anywhere from a few months to several years. It all depends on the client’s personal goals, and how long they want to be in treatment for. As mental health professionals, we may recommend a course of action, but it is always up to the client to decide.

  • How long before I start seeing changes?

    Clients can experience immediate ease and relief in as early as one session however, it is typical for clients to see substantial progress and growth in 6-12 months.

  • How long are sessions?

    The first session is a hour and sessions after that are 50 minutes.

  • Do I pay or does my insurance pay?

    We participate with Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, Cigna, and John Hopkins.

  • Are sessions in person or online?

    Currently, due to COVID-19, all sessions are conducted through secure video conferencing. When it is safe to resume in person sessions, we can conveniently meet at our Columbia office.
